PATIO
PATIO is an artistic identity rooted in space, light, and color. The name embodies a commitment to creating work that embraces openness and simplicity, stripping away excess and allowing the viewer to experience beauty in its imperfections.
PATIO’s journey as an artist began at a young age, with an eye for observation and a constant companion of an art journal. This early practice of sketching and note-taking laid the groundwork for art as both a personal and professional pursuit. After completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut and earning a master’s in Art Therapy, she found the therapeutic aspects of art, particularly process painting, significantly shaped her artistic and personal development.
In 2021, she made a conscious decision to return to her creative roots after spending several years in a career outside of art. Since then, her work has drawn inspiration from her background in art therapy, crafting compositions that embrace vulnerability and impermanence.
Her artistic process explores color and canvas, where paint flows and transforms across raw surfaces. Inspired by nature and the process itself, her creations are guided by paint pours, brush movements, and organic shapes, resulting in bold yet minimalist pieces that seek to bring clarity and joy to the environments they inhabit.
Currently, PATIO works with collectors, corporations, and designers to create impactful art that resonates across various spaces. Through this ongoing practice, she continues to delve into the relationship between process, emotion, and form, aiming to evoke a sense of playful balance in every piece.
